Abstract

Early Childhood Education Has A Lot Of Benefits For Children With Visual Impairments Especially For Their Educational Development But Most Children With Visual Impairment Donot Have The Opportunity Of Enjoying These Benefits Because They Not Have Access To Any Of Early Childhood Education Facilities In Their Environment. This Paper Examined The Role Of Care Givers And Teachers In The Provision Of Early Childhood Education For Children With Visual Impairments. Skills Of Orientation And Mobility, Self-care And Language Development Should Be Stressed During Early Childhood Education. The Paper Also Discussed The Importance Of Environmental Modification And Some Changes That Need To Be Effected In The Classroom For The Benefit Of Children With Visual Impairment And Suggested Some Ways To Effect These Changes. The Paper Suggested Among Others That There Is Need For Collaboration Between Teachers, Parents And Other Stakeholders In Early Childhood Education For A Successful Pre-school Education Of Children With Visual Impairments.
