others, showed that teachers have a high and positive perception of, and positive attitude towardsthe
utilization of field-trip in teaching and learning of senior secondary school Biology. Furthermore,
teachers perceived lack of funds, difficulty in obtaining parental permission and following up with
students, transportation problem, time constraints, lack of encouragement from school authority,
and lack of standby school bus as some factors affecting the utilization of field-trip as an
instructional strategy in the teaching and learning of Biology. It wastherefore recommended that
government and private school owners, and school managements should provide funds, school
buses, materials and needed support for teachers and students to enable them participate
meaningfully in educationalfield-trips.
