The aim is to understand the relationships and the value created between different actors. While the Triple Helix and Quadruple Helix are popular in innovation studies, the relations between them have not been addressed extensively in literature. To bridge the research gap, this paper compared the models from the perspective of how they were introduced and how useful they are in addressing the innovation processes in contemporary society. The findings and results indicated that the two models showed that they are complementary in value creation when analyzing innovation processes in the society. They provide ground for synergy building between the two Helix models. The research however, concluded that the fourth helix where societal value creation is generated by the dynamics in the relationships between academic industry and government and providing more value adding activities through society in a quadruple helix will enhance our understanding of the need for informed interactions of these innovation models through a strong civil society. This development has transformed the triple helix into the quadruple helix.2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIONhttps://journals.unijos.edu.ng/index.php/ijti/article/view/301A Theoretical Framework for Assessing the Productivity of ICT Infrastructure Utilization in Human Development Policy Formulation2025-02-06T12:15:58+00:00Yinka Oyerinde oyerindeo@unijos.edu.ngFelix Bankole bankofo@unisa.ac.zaSati Satmer Dapeldapels@unijos.edu.ngA lot of research has been carried out with respect to ICT Infrastructure Investments made by nations in a bid to bridge the digital divide and improve quality of life and the Human Development Index (HDI). With a strong argument being made in the literature for continued investments in ICT Infrastructure, this research proposed a novel framework for measuring the productivity of the utilization of ICT Infrastructure with respect to the educational component of the HDI. This theoretical framework was tested using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The research also investigated the relative efficiency and productivity of ICT Infrastructure Utilization in Education. The research employed the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist Index (MI) non-parametric research methodology with countries grouped into clusters or regions with each region becoming a Decision-Making Unit. Findings show a relatively efficient utilization and marginal growth in productivity for some regions and a marginal decline in others. 2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 https://journals.unijos.edu.ng/index.php/ijti/article/view/302Evaluating a Virtual-Community Centric Collaboration Life-Cycle Model for Sustainable Coordination:2025-02-06T12:59:10+00:00Godwin Thomas thomasg@unijos.edu.ngReinhardt A. Bothathomasgodwin@unijo.edu.ngDarrell vanGreunenthomasgodwin@unijo.edu.ngThis paper appraises a Virtual-Community Centric Collaboration Life-Cycle Model (VCCCLM) inspired by the promise virtual communities present as an ideal platform to support coordination in a distributed collaborative work context. The appraised model promises a proactive, adaptive, reactive, and continuous coordination of activities of actors who must work together towards common goals across a segmented and distributed environment to mitigate duplication of efforts and incoherence while maximizing limited resource use. Thus, technological features that can support the coordination of widely distributed actors are validated. Drawing from the segmented, distributed South African Public sector as a case study with a specific interest in coordinating capacity-building interventions across its 226 municipalities, a collaborative scenario was deduced. To realize the evaluation, an expert review interview based on the given collaborative scenario aided by an Excelbased open-ended questionnaire as a validation tool was employed to ensure that the appraised model is relevant, comprehensive, practical, and useful to practitioners. The VCCCLM is aimed to streamline and ensure sustainable coordination of collaborative actions within the SA public sector where seamless coordination is inhibited by environmental factors such as size, multiple role players, and proximity. The appraisal results show that the model has great potential to support the coordination dynamics in the segmented and distributed SA Public Sector. The study brought forward some limitations from the feedback used to refine the model while taking cognizance of future work.2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIONhttps://journals.unijos.edu.ng/index.php/ijti/article/view/303Integrating Spiritual Intelligence into Traditional Bone-Setting Practices: Innovations In Holistic Healing And Well-Being2025-02-06T14:00:30+00:00Mafeng Yakubu Vwei Pwol mafengpwol@gmail.comUmar H. D. Danfulanidademu@unijos.edu.ngChentu Dauda Nguvughernguvugherc@unijos.edu.ngThis research focuses on examining the SI of TBPs using King and DeCicco's SI theoretical framework with a view of integrating traditional practices with modern health technology. The study aimed to determine if SI exists among TBPs how it is incorporated into its bone-setting techniques and the possible integration into contemporary healthcare delivery systems. An Ethnography study that employs qualitative methods design. The findings indicate that the adoption of SI components such as CET PMP TA, and CSE by TBPs is evident in their practices. These components of SI found in TBPs, prove the utility of these practices in treating physical but also emotional and spiritual conditions. In light of these results, the discussion provides SI interpretation using the SI model to support the rationale that SI optimises TBPs' efficiency. The study advocates the possibility of integrating SI in both conventional and advanced models of healthcare bone treatment and analysing the need for new policies and training that incorporate SI approaches.2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIONhttps://journals.unijos.edu.ng/index.php/ijti/article/view/304The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction on The Effect of Leadership Styles on Teacher's Job Performance in Senior Secondary Schools in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State2025-02-06T14:12:55+00:00Vera Omosenor Ejianreh asieba.vera@yahoo.comThis study investigated the relationship between leadership style and teachers' performance, mediated by job satisfaction in senior secondary schools in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The study formulated five research questions and five hypotheses to guide the research. The study drew upon the Transformational and Transactional Theory by Bass (1985). A correlational survey research design was employed, and 263 questionnaires were administered. Out of the total, 250 questionnaires were returned, resulting in a return rate of 95.1%. The researcher adopted the Leadership Style Questionnaire (LSQ), the Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (JSQ), and the Teachers' Job Performance Questionnaire (OPQ). The computed reliability coefficients were 0.86 for the LSQ, 0.88 for the JSQ, and 0.90 for the teachers' job performance. The collected data were analysed using multiple regression analysis with the aid of PLS-SEM 4. The findings of the study revealed a significant positive relationship between the variables: H1 (β = 0.063, t-stat = 1.7665, p-value = 0.010), H2 (β = 0.053, t-stat = 12.50, p-value = 0.001), and H3 (β = 0.050, t-stat = 6.531, p-value = 0.000). These hypotheses were supported, as their t-values exceeded the threshold of 1.64 for one-tailed tests. Additional analysis was conducted to examine the mediating role of job satisfaction in the direct relationship (β = 0.048, t-stat = 1.083, p-value = 0.00). This indicates that job satisfaction mediates the relationship between leadership style and teachers' job performance. Based on the study's findings, it is recommended, among other things, that Nigerian education ministry and boards emphasize the leadership behaviour of secondary school principals, as such efforts may not only enhance teachers' job performance and commitment but also facilitate integrated instruction planning and goal attainment. Regular payment of teachers' salaries and improvements in their working conditions are also recommended to enhance job satisfaction.2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATIONhttps://journals.unijos.edu.ng/index.php/ijti/article/view/305Improving Stock Market Prediction through Reinforcement Learning: A Case Study of Nigerian Telecommunication Companies.2025-02-06T14:20:59+00:00Ponnan Kenneth Zingdul kennethponnan@gmail.comNachamada Blamahblamahn@unijos.edu.ngYinka Oyerinde oyerindeo@unijos.edu.ngStock prediction a viable tool in building a robust economy for a nation. It provides the impetus of the how, the who and when to invest in a stock primarily used by investors. There is a need for a more effective model of stock prediction which manages the volatile and dynamic nature of the stock market. As such, this research aims at developing a more efficient predictive model; using the Reinforcement Learning RL technique that involves an agent learning to interact with an environment in order to maximize a reward signal. The research focuses on the improvement of the benchmark model, Ordinary Least Square (OLS) model of stock prediction achieved by the value-based RL technique; the reinforced model predict close to actual when compared to the OLS model. Statistical evaluation metric was employed to confirms the efficiency of the reinforced model against the OLS model for real life application.2024-10-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF TECHNOPRENEURSHIP AND INNOVATION
