Editorial: Embracing the Future of Technopreneurship and Innovation
Dear Readers,
It is with great excitement and pride that I welcome you to the maiden edition of the International Journal of Technopreneurship and Innovation. This inaugural issue marks a significant milestone in our collective journey to explore, understand, and shape the future of technopreneurship across diverse disciplines. As we embark on this journey, our goal is to create a platform that not only disseminates knowledge but also fosters collaboration and dialogue among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. We believe that by bridging the gap between theory and practice, we can drive meaningful change and inspire the next generation of technopreneurs.
In this edition, we present a collection of six original articles that span a wide array of multidisciplinary fields, each contributing unique insights and advancements to the everevolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship. Our contributors, hailing from various academic and professional backgrounds, have come together to share their research,
experiences, and visions for the future. The first article in this edition, Entrepreneurship Education: Why the Paradigm Shift from Triple Helix to Quadruple Helix Model by Umoru-Oki & Angyu, sets the tone for the edition
by expounding on the relationship between the triple helix and quadruple helix models in innovation studies from the perspective of how they were introduced and how useful they are in addressing the innovation processes in contemporary society. The second article, A Theoretical Framework for Assessing the Productivity of ICT Infrastructure Utilization in Human Development Policy Formulation, by Oyerinde, Bankole, & Dapel, proposes a
theoretical framework for understanding and assessing the efficiency in utilization of ICT infrastructure in human development policy formulation taking into cognizance the productivity of these investments in ICT on the Human Development Index (HDI). The third article, Evaluating a Virtual-Community Centric Collaboration Life-Cycle Model for Sustainable Coordination: A South African Public Sector perspective, by Thomas, Botha, &
vanGreunen, introduce and appraise an innovative Virtual-Community Centric Collaboration Life-Cycle Model (VCCCLM) aimed at streamlining and ensuring sustainable coordination of collaborative actions within the South African public sector.
The fourth article published in this maiden edition, Integrating Spiritual Intelligence into Traditional Bone-Setting Practices: Innovations In Holistic Healing And Well-Being, by Pwol, Danfulani, & Nguvugher, employ King and DeCicco's Spiritual Intelligence theoretical framework to examine traditional bone setting practices in Nigeria to determine if any spiritual intelligence exists in these practices and further discuss the possibility of incorporating these practices into contemporary healthcare systems. The fifth paper, The Mediating Role of Job Satisfaction on The Effect of Leadership Styles on Teacher's Job
Performance in Senior Secondary Schools in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, by Ejianreh innovatively draws on Bass’s Transformational and Transactional theory to investigate the relationship between leadership style and teachers' performance, mediated by job satisfaction, in senior secondary schools in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State. The sixth paper, Improving Stock Market Prediction through Reinforcement
Learning: A Case Study of Nigerian Telecommunication Companies, by Zingdul, Blamah & Oyerinde, introduce and develop an effective machine learning model, using reinforcement technique to improve and manage prediction of stock market performance of Telecommunication Companies in Nigeria’s volatile and dynamic stock market. On behalf of the Editorial Board, I invite you to engage with the content, share your perspectives, and join us in this exciting endeavor.
