As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
Author Guidelines
MANUSCRIPTS: Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise British style English within the range of 12 pages typed in double-line spacing and submitted on the journal website or send to the editorial office by email (pontipn@unijos.edu.ng or mysim78@yahoo.com ). The abstract should not be more than 200 words long. Contributors are required to pay the sum of N10,000.00 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) as handling fee for one manuscript. This should be paid into the Journal’s account.
ACCEPTANCE AND FINAL SUBMISSION OF REVISED MANUSCRIPT
Contributors will receive copies of their refereed manuscript for amendments (if any) as recommended by the assessors. Final submissions are to be returned to the Editorial Secretary and should include tabulated list of corresponding actions to each of the issues raised by the assessors. Authors are advised to return the revised manuscript by email or on a readable Compact Disc (CD).
Acceptance:Acceptance of revised manuscript for publication is subject to the payment of publication fee of N35,000.00 (Thirty-Five Thousand Naira Only). Payment should be made into JOES’s bank account or in cash to the Editorial Secretary or Editor-in-Chief. JOES submissions attract a fee of N500.00 for each page in excess of the 12 pages stipulated for the manuscript. All fees are subject to review. Please note that only lead author to each of the published manuscript are entitled to one complimentary. Other authors may wish to purchase their copies from the Journal office.
